Whole Earth Restaurant  (vegetarian)

Wow wee!!!! A Michelin star vegetarian place! 👉

This is like super cool! Feels like your best friend in class getting top ten place! I feel really really proud that a vegetarian place is being awarded. It beats what others always said that vegetarian food taste awful.

Whole Earth Peranakan Thai place, located just right outside Tanjong Pagar MRT, comfortable setting, easy accessible location, best for family gatherings and couple dinner dates.

♡ “Fish” bee hoon soup ♡

Seaweed bean curd with mushrooms in a milky broth and fresh greens, this tummy warming soup taste smooth to the tongue and satisfied my pregnant friend’s palate!

♡ “Scallops” pea shoots ♡

They do look like scallops don’t they! It’s pan seared king abalone mushrooms with lightly salted pea shoots. Definitely suits my taste bud. I never liked the usual zhi char starchy salty fare.

♡ Golden Nuggets ♡

This is just like the typical  cereal prawns! The Nuggets are made out of monkey head mushrooms. And to me, monkey head mushrooms are one of the best meat replacement.

♡ Nutty buah keluak ♡

Ahhhh lastly!!! I missed this Peranakan dish! The buah keluak is actually a poisonous fruit off a tall tree. The fruit has to be fermented in order to be edible. In this nutty stew, the outer shell of the fruit is still hard but just a small spoon and scope in, you can taste the mashed up flesh of it.
