Life Liberation Trip

Back in Aug, we went to Hatyai, Thailand for 5 days, organised by Buddhist Life Mission. Main purpose of this trip is to conduct life liberations and also to attend the 10,000 monks offering yearly event.

This life liberation event left the deepest impression on me, its not the first time that im involving but this is a much larger scale and also involved lifestock — cows and goats.

Usually the common animals that were liberated are fishes.

But in Thailand, thankfully and feeling extremely grateful, we had the opportunity to save cows from slaughterhouse, those cows that were saved, would be in turn transferred to needy farmers.

The cow would then aid the needy farmer till the day it passed on.

These group of needy farmers are selected by the authorities and will be monitored by them to ensure that proper procedures are in place.

So this particular afternoon, we were very honoured to witness and be involved in this event.

***2 tons of fish, 161 cows and 47 goats were liberated***

After the prayers for the animals, the cows are assigned to the farmers, 1 cow per family. This pretty certificate was done up by Buddhist Life Mission. On it was written the names of those who had donated to this cause.

My heartfelt gratitude to Buddhist Life Mission and Hai Tao Fashi.
