Continuing from Part I.. (previous post here)
we went to these 3 temples
3) Wat Phra Mahathat
4) Wat Lokayasutharam
5) Wat Chaiwatthanaram
Wat Phra Mahathat is where the famous buddha head on a tree is.. its also the main factor that i wanna visit Ayutthaya.
Its amazing how a Buddha head will remain rooted upright on a tree …It signifies alot more for me.
Do note that most temples (wat) require a entrance fee, either 20B or 50B.
Over here are all ruins.. its really sad to see things in broken state.. the remains of a city destroyed..
Next stop, 4th temple, Wat Lokayasutharam, one of the biggest reclining Buddha. There’s only one buddha here, but i really would love to come and admire the large Buddha and the surrounding peace. Not much tourist in this spot.
The weather is really hot, in November, but there is a provision shop nearby selling coconut juice & mineral water.
Last stop! This temple is a little further away, Wat Chaiwatthanaram, also ruins, but on a rather large scale. looks like a palace it once was.
and got the tuk tuk driver to bring us back to the train station.
get a ticket from the counter, and asked the staff for help! cos there wont be any sign… which train is yours haha.
the nice train staff informed us when our train is coming.
